Name Of Post – Senior Financial Analyst

Location – Beijing, China

Basis Qualification – Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related areas is required; MBA, CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.

Experience – Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in FP&A, must be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, demonstrate strong driving force, and possess strong communication and persuasion skills.

Language Skill – Excellent written and speaking skills in both English and Chinese are strongly required.

Software Knowledge – Be master of standard financial software and systems, including Excel, Oracle Financials, and COGNOS. Experience with SQL is a strong plus. Candidates who do not have experience with SQL should have a demonstrated desire and aptitude to learn it.

Preferred Qualifications –

  • Tax and accounting experience a plus

Main Responsibilities – 

1. Closely partner with the Retail business team to provide financial analysis for annual business plans and update monthly rolling forecast based on solid business inputs and assumptions, evaluate and quantify new business ideas, conduct strong controllership on a day-to-day basis and deep dive on variances to identify root causes.
2. Closely work with many departments including Retail, Operations, Central Finance, and Accounting to establish the relevant forecasting and planning process. The position will work with Develop financial and business matrices to measure the performance of business and sellers and drive proper justification and follow-up actions to address performance gaps.
3. Report daily, weekly and monthly KPIs, including online traffic, sales, Gross Margins, Contribution Margins, vendor metrics, and Inventory. Automating existing reports and driving the development of new metrics.
4. Drive profitability analysis on product line level and identify improvement opportunities; perform financial analysis to drive decisions, e.g. fee adjustments, new features, promotions, etc.
5. Closely work with Product Category, Tax, Accounting, and Systems teams, as well as with the Sales and Onboarding teams to set and maintain the recruiting and selection and other targets which can drive better customer experience.
